The Ohio EMA Mitigation Branch has released Hazard Mitigation Assistance (HMA) grant opportunities which includes the Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities (BRIC) and Flood Mitigation Assistance (FMA) grant opportunities. These grants are available to all Counties, Cities, Townships and Villages. The BRIC program replaces the Pre-Disaster Mitigation grant program. The objectives of the BRIC grant is to implement the All-Hazards Mitigation Plan, whereas the FMA grant focuses on the mitigation of repetitive loss and severe repetitive loss properties due to flooding.
Local jurisdictions that are interested in these opportunities must submit the HMA pre-application form to the Ohio EMA Mitigation Branch by September 11, 2020.

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) announced that Working Capital Disaster Loans are available to small businesses, small agricultural cooperatives, small businesses engaged in aquaculture, and private nonprofit organizations affected by excessive moisture on April 8 through May 29, 2020. Applications will be accepted through April 12, 2021
